- IES Electrical was contracted with Hourigan to provide electrical installation for the Greer Environmental Science Center on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan College. IES provided all LED lighting, an automated greenhouse control system, emergency generator and lab equipment installation for the approximatly 36,500 + SF facility. The design and model of this project was completed while construction was ongoing. This environmental friendly building received a LEED Gold Certification, including a photovoltaic installation of the roof of the building. The BIM model helped facilitate the use of prefabrication beyond the standard components.
